At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, the death occurred of Roy Sterling Stewart, age 85 years.
Born in Beach Point, May 28, 1927, he was the son of the late George and Isabel (Penny) Stewart.
Roy will be missed by his wife Marion and is survived by his son, Stephen (Rebecca); grandchildren, Kendra, Melissa, Justin (Jaime), Micah; great-grandchild, Steven; and his many nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Marshall Penny, David "Glover", Warren, Clarence, Fred, Wilson; and his sisters, Marjorie MacLean and Audrey Osborne.
Resting at Ferguson-Logan Montague Funeral Home where visiting will be held Saturday, October 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place in Murray Harbour Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Murray Harbour Baptist Church would be appreciated by his family.
