June Victoria (nee Burton) Hope age 75 of Amherst passed away on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Gables Lodge in Amherst with her loving husband by her side.
Born June 3, 1937 in Springhill, NS she was a daughter of the late Alex and Maude (Rose) Burton.
June greatly enjoyed listening to music, especially country as well as gardening.
June will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ronald “Dubby” Hope; her children, Jennie Cameron, Amherst and John (Sharon) Cameron, Halifax; three grandchildren; sister, Margaret Burton, Amherst; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
June was predeceased by her parents, sister, Audrey Hall and brothers, Murray and Alex Jr.
As per June’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. from Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Reception will follow in the funeral home.
Memorial donations in June’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
