Roger C. Harvey, a resident of Ridgeview Lodge, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on October 13, 2012 in Kamloops, B.C. at 94 years of age.

He will be sadly missed by his family: his wife Marion, his daughters Calista, Susan and Ashala, his grandchildren, and his extended family and friends. Born in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Roger grew up in Surrey, B.C. After serving in the RCAF in World War II, he moved to Kamloops, where he eventually owned and operated Stan Steel Limited until his retirement.

He was actively involved with the local Kinsmen Club for many years and the War Birds. During his retirement he devoted his time to working with the local Boys and Girls Club and the International Wildlife Protection Association established at that time. Roger enjoyed gardening, golfing and painting. He loved life and was devoted to his family, friends and community. He will be fondly remembered by his family and all that knew him.

The family would like to thank and give there appreciation to the caring staff at the Ridgeview Lodge for their compassionate care they gave to Roger.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Room at the Cottonwood Manor, 730 Cottonwood Avenue, Kamloops.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kamloops Food Bank in Roger's memory would be greatly appreciated.
