Christie L. Elliott
Christie Love Elliott-57, of Toney River, Pictou County passed away peacefully October 19, 2012 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.
Born in St. Catharine’s, Ontario, she was a daughter of Annie Roberta (Leadbetter) Grant, Lyons Brook and the late James Wylie Grant. Christie graduated from West Pictou District High School, and worked at the Municipal Tax Office in Pictou and then at Brian Craig, CA for many years. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn.
Surviving are her husband, James Albert Elliott; son, Kevin Elliott, Toney River; daughters, Diana Elliott, St. John’s, Newfoundland; and Maryann (Mark) MacAulay, Caribou; granddaughter, Lauren MacAulay; brother, Richard (Bev) Grant, Pictou; sister, Janice (Gary) Heighton, Meadowville; brother-in-law, Randy Weatherby, Malagash; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Weatherby. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Monday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral will take place 2:00 PM Tuesday from Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn, with Rev. Barb Fotheringham officiating. Interment will be in Riverbank Cemetery, Toney Mills. Donations in her memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or any charity.
