At 0805 hours, Sunday, 21 October, 2012, our angel on earth left us to join heaven’s choir of angels. Julie Anne Brown, born 14 October, 1975, in Springhill, NS was a CP child and despite being quadriplegic, lived every day with a joyful devilish spirit loving laughter, hugs and kisses wherever they could be found. Fondly and respectfully known as the “Princess” or “Queen B” of the Evergreen Home for Special Care Children’s Unit where she has lived for the past thirty-three plus years with a loving and caring family of employees and fellow residents. Inspirational is a word often used to describe Julie’s impact upon others as she warmed so many hearts during her life journey. Julie is survived by her parents, Bliss and Deborah (Clarke) Brown, New Canada, Lunenburg County, NS; her loving brother, Jason, Costa Rica; grandmother, Mabelle Brown, Pugwash; aunts and uncles, Mary Brown, Chignecto; Garnet (Mary) Brown, Amherst; Carmen, Murray (Patricia) and Kenneth (Margaret), all of Sackville, NS; Barbara (Richard) Noiles, Springhill; Patricia Clarke-Gould (Brad), Dartmouth; Arthur (Kathy) Clarke, Halifax; as well as many cousins. Julie will be sadly missed by her extended family, the folks at Evergreen Home for Special Care, where she was a sister, confidant and co-conspirator to so many. She was predeceased by grandparents, Rose and Art Clarke, and Charles Brown; aunts, Anne Marie Brown and June Brown; uncles, Guy, Angus, David, and Matthew Brown; cousin, Melissa Noiles. Funeral service was held from Evergreen Home for Special Care, 655 Park Street, Kentville, NS on Wednesday, 24 October 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., Reverend Mary Anne Doherty-Fleet, Chaplain officiating.
