Raymond George Huxter Jr. - 50, of West Hall’s Harbour, Kings County, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at home. Born in Germany, he was a son of Vernice (Merrett) Huxter, Port Williams and the late Raymond Huxter Sr. He had been employed with Cavendish Agri Services and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, hunting and woodworking. He was a foster parent for over 20 years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sherry Ann (Schofield); a daughter, Railene, Cambridge; foster son, Evan, Yarmouth; four brothers, Stephen (Jean), Halifax; Kenneth, Alberta; Timothy, Kentville; Darren (Averill), Quebec; nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There was no visitation, by request. A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 in the West Hall’s Harbour Cemetery. A reception followed in the West Hall’s Harbour Baptist Church. Donations in memory may be made to the Arthritis Society or the West Hall’s Harbour Baptist Church.
