It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lewis Parsons announce his passing on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 84th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 60 years Gwen (nee Critch), his children: Rock (Ruth) of Deer Lake, Albert (Carol) and Barry (Cathy) both of Alberta, Christine and Roger (Vera) both of Ontario, Billy (Diana) and Barbara (Bob) both of Alberta, 11 grandchildren: Terri-Lynn, Bobbi-Joe, Robert, Wendy, Jason, Jamie, Roger, April, Terri-lee, Christopher and Jonathan, 14 great-grandchildren, his brother George (Ethel), brother-in-law Doug and sister-in-law Jean. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Albert & Maggie and son Calvin. Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 Northmain Street, Deer Lake on Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Major Wayne & Betty Ann Pike officiating.
