The death of Dolores Marie Lucci age 57 of Aulac, NB, occurred on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital in Sackville, NB., following a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born in Stephenville, NL, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Jean (White) White.
She worked at the Amherst Wandlyn Inn and later at Gables Lodge.
Dolores was a very caring person and cherished her family and friends dearly. Throughout her life Dolores always considered other people’s needs, before her own. She enjoyed knitting, darts, gardening, sharing stories, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Dolores leaves behind to mourn her daughter Allison (Scott Vance), River Hebert and son, Billy (Patsy), Amherst; grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Morgan, Lucas, Cameron and Nicholas; sisters, Debbie (Brian) Innis, Halifax, Jeannine (Brian) Little, Calgary, AB, Cecilia (Chris) Lucci, and Judy (Pat) Davison both of Amherst; brothers, Warren (Marg), Halifax, Craig (Sally), Amherst, Tom (Dale) Lacomb, AB, Bernie, and Amherst; aunt, Pauline Mullins, USA and uncle, Raymond (Elwidge), Georgetown, PEI; partner, Albert Sears and his son Josh, Aulac, NB; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides her parents, Dolores was predeceased by her husband, Bill in 2007; grandparents, Nanny and Papa. A special thank you to her Gables family; especially Sue Oulton, Eva Maddison, Sonia LeBlanc, Cathy Bureaux, Tina Legett as well as the staff at Sackville Memorial Hospital.
Cremation has taken place.
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Raymond Fancy officiating. Interment will take place in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery. Reception will follow in the funeral home.
