The death occurred at the Community Hospital, O’Leary, on Monday Oct. 22, 2012, of Gertrude Connors of Forest View aged 65 years. Beloved wife of Roger Connors. She was born in Harper Road, Tignish, on May 6, 1947, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (McPhee) Conway. Besides her husband Roger, she is survived by daughters Kelly and Holly Gallant, Amanda Connors all of Summerside. Her grandchildren Tonya, Vanessa, Ben, Jessica and Justus and great-grandchildren Patrick, Danika and Kaylie. Dear sister to Teresa (late Earl) O’Rourke, Tignish; Adeline (Maynard) Butler, Tignish; Elsie (Frank) Murnaghan, Orleans, Ont.; Timothy (Pauline) Conway, Nova Scotia; Frances (Ivan) Chaisson, PeterRoad; Helen (Nelson) Perry, St. Edward; Lucy (Wendell) Cahill, Kildare; Sylvia (Tom) Sweet, Trenton, Ont.; Evelyn Malone, Mississauga, Ont.; Phyllis Conway, Summerside; Rev. Father Greg Conway, Morrell; Christine (Emile) Gaudet, Kildare and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters-in-lawKaren Hunt and Audrey Miller from Nova Scotia and one aunt Mildred McPhee of Windsor, Ont. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Conway, sister Mary Gertrude, brother Gerald in infancy, sister Mary and brothers-in-law Patrick Rochford and Earl O’Rourke. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, for visiting hours Wednesday 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held Thursday at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Celebrant will be Rev. Brendon Gallant assisted by Rev. Greg Conway. Memorial donations to the West Prince Caring Cupboard would be greatly appreciated. Cremated remains will be interred in the church cemetery.
