Robert Reginald "Bob" Molaski

Molaski, Robert Reginald “Bob”, East Mountain, passed away Tuesday October 23, 2012 in the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in North Bay, Ontario, he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth (McCharles) Molaski. Bob was formerly in the Canadian Navy where he worked as a sonar technician and later went to work with the CNR as a brakeman. Bob was a 26-year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26, Truro. He was a past president of the Truro Horseman Club, Truro and a member of the Mountain Golf Club. Bob loved to travel and play golf. He was very athletic in his earlier years as a young man. In his retirement, he took up the hobby of stocks. He was a generous and caring person who constantly thought of others and taught his family the meaning and importance of family. Bob will be greatly missed by his family. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Bob is survived by his wife of 54-years,the former Gloria Mae MacKenzie; son Robert James (Sarah) of Calgary; daughters, Judith Lynn Hardiman (Jim) of Valley, Karen Molaski (Darrell) of Murray Siding, Penny Winters (Mike) of East Mountain; grandchildren, Melanie, Tiffany, Adam, Brian, Thomas, Matthew, Katelyn; great-grandchildren, Lia, Mason.
Besides his parents Bob was predeceased by; brothers, Kenny and William; sisters Vina and Ruth.
Visitation will take place on Friday evening from 7-9 pm and where the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26, Truro will conduct a Legion Tribute Service at 7 pm Friday evening and where funeral service will take place on Saturday at 2 pm, all in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Rev. Larry Harrison will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Bible Hill Cemetery, Bible Hill. Family flowers only. Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
