Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge, Sophie Carter, age 89 years. Predeceased by her brothers Jack, Hector (Jean) and Eric, sisters Malfred Carter and Doris Antle (Edgar), and brother-in-law Fred Trowbridge. Leaving to mourn her sister Grace Trowbridge; sister-in-law Mildred Carter; also many nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Glenbrook Lodge, Pastor Paul Perry and the visitation committee of Park Avenue Pentecostal Church, Mount Pearl. Visitation is being held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Thursday, October 25th. from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and on Friday, October 26th, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Park Avenue Pentecostal Church.
