Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, Chester Murray of Carbonear, age 86 years. Predeceased by 1st wife: Audrey; 2nd wife: Mary; parents: Richard and Laura; sister: Shirley Chubbs; sisters-in-law: Eileen Cotter and Marjorie Pinsent; brothers-in-law: William Barrett, Calvin Seymour and Joseph Chubbs. Left to mourn, two daughters: Virginia (Arthur) Butt and Barbara (Peter) Reynolds, both of Carbonear; step-daughter: Carol Anne Broomfield, Coley’s Point; eight grandchildren: Audrey, Chad (Jennifer), Murray (Jenny), Andy (Michelle), Andrew (Kayla), Brian (Melissa), Jimmy (Amanda) and Jason (Santina); six great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Noah, Parker, Dylan, Jillian and Jessica; three sisters: Helen Barrett, Carbonear, Irene (Edward) Taylor and Maxine Seymour, both of Harbour Grace; brothers-in-law: John Pinsent, Edmonton, AB; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Friday, October 26 from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment took place in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
