STEWART, Arnold William A. - 61 of Central West River, passed away October 27, 2012 at home. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Constance (Holden), New Glasgow, and the late William Stewart. He worked for L.E. Shaw Company, in construction as a labourer, at Clint Dickson’s Lumber and owned and operated Arnold’s Taxi in Pictou. He loved watching hockey, especially the Montreal Canadiens, fishing and dancing. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Gail (Campbell), Central West River, children, Donald, Vancouver Island; William, at home; Geraldine, Pictou County; April (Jason) Allen, Mt. Thom; Arnold (Brittany), North River; Daniel (Lori Ann), Rockfield Rd; stepchildren, Austin (Carrie) Feltmate, Pictou; Annie (Mike) Dooley, Pictou County; 15 grandchildren, one special grandson, Jory; siblings, Jerry (Margie) New Glasgow; Joyce (Donald) Murray, Thorburn; Jimmy, Stellarton; Cindy and Sammy, both of New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and at Arnold’s request there will no funeral service. Visitation will be held from 7-9 PM on Thursday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.
