Louise Carmichael, age 83 passed away on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at the Maple Hill Manor, New Waterford.
Born in Taber, Alta., she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Wilson) LeLoup.
Before moving to the manor, Louise was a resident of David Street, River Ryan. She was a member of Calvin United Church, New Waterford. Louise enjoyed playing cards and doing paper toile; she will be remembered as a loving and compassionate wife and mother.
Louise is survived by her husband, Norman Carmichael; two sons, Norman (Lauralee), Kenneth (Mary Anne), both in Halifax; one brother, Gordon, New Waterford; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Louise was predeceased by a daughter in infancy; two brothers, John and Wilson and a sister, Mary.
No visitation. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Duncan Roach will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in Calvin United Church followed by a reception in Calvin Hall.
As an expression of sympathy for Louise, memorial donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
