HAGEN, Donna Louise – 60, Argyle Street, Yarmouth, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born May 21, 1952 in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Sigurd Martin and Zoie Mary (Rhyno) Hagen. Donna loved being at home and she loved playing bingo. Surviving are her children, Evelyn (Peter) Hubbard, Hubbard’s Point; Anthony (Shonda) Smith, Brooklyn, Yarmouth Co.; Rhonda Smith, Yarmouth; Donnalynn (Arlin) Smith, Wedgeport; Rose (Bill) Gero, Yarmouth; ten grandchildren, as well as brothers and sisters, Sarah (John) Upton, Rockville; Martin Hagen, Yarmouth; Louisa Larsen, Yarmouth; Lars (Sara) Hagen, Yarmouth. Visitation took place from 7-9 Friday, and again from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where her funeral was celebrated on Sunday, November 4 at 4 p.m., Rev. A. D. “Bill” Newell officiated. Interment will take place at Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. Donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
