Maurice Brassart

Passed on: November 4th, 2012
On Sunday, November 4, 2012, Maurice passed gently from this life, reunited in death with his beloved wife, Luella, who predeceased him in 2005.
He was the son of the late Emile Brassart and Agnes (Caffiers) (Brassart) King.
He was also predeceased by a brother, Gerry.
Maurice was a long-time resident of Charlotte Street where he and Lu operated Maurice’s Dairy. After his retirement, he became an avid salmon fisherman, casting his line over North River and the Margaree.
Left to mourn are his only sister, Jeanne Dickson; his daughter, Laurolea (Bernie) Crane; sons, Randy and Brent; grandchildren, Brandon, Ashlea, Brady and Sean. He will be greatly missed by his extended family, his good friend, Theresa MacLean, and all his comrades fishing on the rivers.
"His life was gentle, and the elements So mixed in him that Nature might stand up And say to all the world, 'This was a man!'"
In accordance with Maurice’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home.
