MARR, CAROL DORIS - It is with great sadness the family announce the unexpected death of Carol Doris Marr, who passed away at home, Monday, November 5, 2012. Born June of 1942 in Sussex, she was the daughter of the late John and Clara (Smith) Young. Carol was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Whenever she would talk about her family especially her grandchildren her heart would swell with pride. When saying goodbye to those she loved she always said “Love ya, Miss ya, See ya”. In earlier years she worked for KV Auto; formerly known as Marr’s Auto Service. Carol enjoyed spending time with family and friends. For over 30 years of good memories; with family were spent at the Camp on the Kingston Peninsula; four-wheelin with the Friars Family; trips to Myrtle Beach with her sisters and lunch in Saint John with her good friends June, Audrey and Ginny. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Jim Marr of Rothesay, sons Steven (Lori) of Long Reach and Trevor (Christina) of Quispamsis; two sisters Joan Allen and Sally Folkins (Blair) both of Sussex; two grandsons Tyler and Bradley; several nieces and nephews; nephew Scott Folkins (Tammy), niece Rebecca Keith (Darrel) great-nephew Cohen and great-niece Hanna; special nephew Jeff Lamrock (Pam), great-niece Ashley, great-nephews Michael and Andrew. Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brother-in-law Art Allen.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday November 7th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, November 8th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 9th at 11:00 a.m. Following a reception, interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery in Sussex, NB. Donations in Carol’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
