It was with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of my loving wife of 65 years, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012.
Born in Grand Le Pierre, N.L., she was the daughter of the late Cecelia (Miles) and James Bolt and was raised by her aunt, the late Polly Clark.
Her greatest joy in life was her love of family and her beautiful gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; four sons, Harry (Donna), Halifax, Wayne (Nora), Louisbourg, Joe (Ann), Bateston, Calvin (Caroline), Louisbourg; three daughters, Yvonne, Sydney, Bonnie (Stewart Whynott), Peggy (Bernard Mahon), both of Louisbourg; grandchildren, Trevor, Matthew, Jody, Michelle, Melanie, Amy, Daniel, Adam, David, Justin, Kevin, Jennifer and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Hilary, Chloe, Stephen, Aiden, Nora, Liam, Kinnon, Owen, Ben, Chace, Tanner, Jack, Jaxon, as well as her sister, Ellen Scott.
Besides her parents, Janet was predeceased by a son in infancy, brothers, Mark and Charles Bolt and sister, Carrie Manning.
Visitation for the late Janet Pitcher will be held at the First United Church, Louisbourg on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at 2 p.m. at First United Church with Nancy Whitney Latham DLM officiating.
