Jean Sylvia Hansen (nee Ripley)
June 25, 1930 – November 6, 2012

Jean passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in Saskatoon at the Royal University Hospital following a courageous battle against Cancer. Jean will be remembered for her love of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family, her passion for gardening and the joy she found in spending time at the lake. She leaves behind to celebrate her life and to keep her alive in our hearts and minds. She is survived by her son Michael (Victoria) Hansen, granddaughter Chelsey, great grandchildren Parker and Isaac and grandson Joshua Hansen; daughter Leanne (Ron) White, grandchildren Ryley-Jean, Brandon, and Justin White; as well as numerous extended family. Jean was predeceased by her husband George Hansen; her mother and father Jean and Henry Ripley; her sisters Doreen Ripley and Ruth Megher and her brother Craig Ripley. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at the Royal University Hospital. As per Jean’s wishes a Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 - 28thStreet West, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Val Bodnaryk. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorial donations can do so to the Canadian Cancer Society, 54 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8, Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
