Mabel passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in Moose Jaw, SK at the age of 92 years. She is predeceased by her husband Irvin; three sons, John, Gordon, and Earl; daughter-in-law Maureen; great granddaughter Paige Jenna Norman. Left to cherish her memory is her son Doug (Brenda); daughter-in-law Glenda; nine grandchildren Shauna, Derek, Renn (Earl’s children), Carmelle, Tanya, Chris (Gord’s children), Craig, Kyle, Jaret (Doug’s children) and their families. Mabel was born and raised on a farm near Tuxford, SK. After attending normal school she taught at Briercrest, Macroirie, and Clarendon School near Chamberlain. While teaching at Clarendon School she met and married Irvin. They farmed in the Sunset School District just north of Buffalo Pound Lake. Mabel was very artistic and in her later years she spent countless hours drawing, sketching, and painting the many pictures that grace her family’s walls. Mabel loved her family and was a very caring and thoughtful person. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Providence Place, 100 – 2nd Ave. NE., Moose Jaw, SK with Glenda Bokinac officiating.
