Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Monday, November 12th, 2012 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, age 83 years, formerly of Army Street. Predeceased by her husband Jeremiah; sister Marjorie Rice; brother Jim Ivey and son-in-law Berkley Porter. Leaving to mourn daughters: Josephine Porter; Sharon Gosse (Kenny), Marie Rice (Art), Loretta Hall (Leonard), Geraldine Lake (Eric), Marion Dawe (Dave), Eileen Ivany (Fred), Joan Bursey (Glen) and Tina Hutchings (Mary Ann); sons: Jim Hutchings (Linda), Steve Hutchings (Diane), Kevin Hutchings (Lisa), Jerry Hutchings (Suse) and Leo Hutchings; thirty grandchildren and thirty three great-grandchildren; sisters: Frances Kennedy (Jim), Mary Whitman (Jerry) and Theresa Crib ( John); brothers: Bill Ivey, Gordon Ivey (Lorraine), Gus Ivey (Ann) and Cecil Ivey (Alice), as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Special friends: Mary Withers, Joan Penney and her friends at the Sunday night dart league at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 1 and her canine companion “Boomer.” Special thanks to Dr. Michael Furlong at St. Clare’s, Dr. Barry Fraser at the Kelligrews Clinic and the nurses on 7 East and 6 East. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, November 16th, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
