Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital after a brief illness, at the age of 93. Loving wife of the late A.E. (Ted) Butler (1998), and daughter of the late Thomas and Elfreda Tucker. Left to mourn are her daughters Jeannine (Ed) O’Neill of Cambridge and Paula (Bob) Pompa of Cole Harbour, NS, two grandchildren Robyn and Luke Pompa, step-grandson Lorne O’Neill (Lisa Faul) and their sons Brock and Zach as well as many nieces, nephews and friends in both Cambridge and Newfoundland. Jean was born in Burnt Point, Newfoundland and moved to St. John’s in her early years where she resided until she relocated to Cambridge in 2004, quickly settling in making many friends. Service to celebrate the life of Jean Butler will be held at Trillium United Church, 450 King St. E., Cambridge on Wednesday, November 14th at 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service and inurnment to be held at a later date in St. John’s Newfoundland.
