March 4, 1928 - November 12, 2012. Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving and devoted family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Monday, November 12th, 2012. Predeceased by her loving husband Hans; baby daughter Mary Elizabeth; parents: Herbert and Alfreda Chafe; infant sisters: Hannah & Effie; infant brother Malcolm; daughter-in-law Debbie Noseworthy and son-in-law John Melville. Leaving to mourn daughters: Gail Lambert (Don), Glenda Wilkins (Barry), Greta Melville (John, deceased), Louise Noseworthy (John Dalton); son Hans (Debbie nee Goulding, deceased); friend Susan Inder; grandchildren: Denise Dunne (Barry), Danette Spurrell (Chris), Donnie Lambert (Valorie), Andrew Wilkins, Matthew Wilkins (Aimee Meyers), Brian Lambert, Jennifer Lambert (Bill Callahan), Shannon McCarter (friend, Andrew Baird), Ian McCarter (friend, Emilia Wojciechowska), Hans Noseworthy Jr., Hilliary Noseworthy and Harrison Noseworthy; great-grandchildren: Catherine & Meredith Dunne, Kathleen, Claire & Grace Spurrell, Victoria & Nathan Lambert and Rachael Lambert; loving brother George Chafe (Sarah); special cousins: Mary Anna White, Dorothy Helm, Len Newhook (Margo), Gertie Drew, Mary Babb; sister-in-law Dorothy Noseworthy, nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thank you to Dr. Echendu and his medical team and the staff of 7 West of St. Clare’s. Also thank you to Dr. Douglas Taylor, Dr. Bill Edwards and Dr. Gary Rideout. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, Tuesday, November 13th 7 - 9 p.m. and Wednesday, November 14th 12 - 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place Thursday, November 15th 11 a.m. from the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Craigmillar Avenue. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations to the Church of St. Mary the Virgin or a charity of one’s choice.
