Lois Mary MacLeod, age 81, of Sackville, N.B., passed away on the early morning of Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.
Born on November 1, 1931, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, she was the daughter of the late August and Annie (Fraser) Theirman.
Lois was an academic, who was involved in many community organizations in her lifetime. She enjoyed writing books of biography and local history, both in Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia.
She is survived by her nephews, Barry, Brian and Bob Hoffos and by her niece, Donna Hoffos.
Besides her parents, Lois was pre-deceased by her sisters, Viola Bell and Sylvia Hoffos.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Lois’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place in Prince Edward Island at a later date.
