Charles Joseph ‘Charlie Joe’ Larade, 74, of 82 Redman Rd., Cheticamp, died Nov. 12, 2012, at Sacred Heart Community Health Care Centre, Cheticamp.
Born in Cheticamp, he was the son of the late James ‘Jimmy’ Larade and Annie (Roach) Larade.
Charlie Joe loved spending time with family and friends. He had many nieces and nephews that he adored. Music was his passion, a true passion for bluegrass. Charlie Joe owned and operated Charlie’s Country Music Store for many years until his retirement supporting the local music industry selling many albums to people around the world.
You would often find Charlie Joe at a bluegrass festival or sitting around a campfire with friends singing along to his favourite songs. Charlie Joe also enjoyed nature and snowmobiling.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Romard) Larade and his sister, Laurette Haché (the late Alex John Haché), Cheticamp.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Wilfred Larade, Paul Patrice Larade and one brother in infancy, sisters, Marie Louise Roach and two sisters in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at St. Peter’s Church, Cheticamp. Interment in the parish cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
