David Trevor Madren
Peacefully, with his loving wife by his side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, of David Trevor Madren of Charlottetown, aged 85 years.
Born in Pembroke, Wales, on October 15, 1927, son of the late William and Margurite (Matthias) Madren of Wales. Survived by his loving wife and best friend Betty (Toombs) Madren. Brother of Gwyneth (Bob) Adams, California. Brother-in-law of Bill (Dot) Toombs and Jean Toombs (late Linwood). Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Penny (Peter) Ayre, Philip (Carole) Adams, Garth (Betty) Toombs, Kaye Toombs (late Errol), Alan Toombs (Carolann Duffy), David Toombs and Jayne Toombs (Scott Stewart).
Dave spent his early years in Wales and was a veteran of the Second World War. After the war he moved to Canada where he spent most of his career as a guidance counsellor and principal in the New Liskeard, Ontario, public school system.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, where funeral service will be held on Saturday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery, Kensington. No visitation by personal request.
