IVA LEONA COUSINS

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Iva passed peacefully at Ridgeview Lodge, on what would have been her loving husband's 107th Birthday. She went to celebrate with him.
Iva was predeceased by her loving husband Gordon William Cousins and her great-grandson David.
Iva was dearly loved and will be missed by her children Orvan (Kay) Cousins, Arlene (Garry) Armstrong, Marilyn (Marvin) Dressler, Mavis (Ken) Olm, Bonnie (Ron) Cousins and Brian (Karen) Cousins. Grama will be missed by her grandchildren Sharie, Sandy, Jackie, Cathy, Bradley, Shellie, Roxanne, Jeanine, Valerie, Greg, Paul, Kaleigh, Kim, Graham and Sarah, and great grandchildren, Shayden, Staysha, Michelle, Michael, Raechelle, Travis, Kassy, Cory, Ryan, Joel, Daniel, Lucas, Jarrett, Ashtyn, Kirsten, Jorden, Ashley, Maddison, Joey, Liam, Jane, Alivia and Lucy as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Iva was born in Moosomin, Saskatchewan to Fred and Mae Johnston. She was married to Gordon on March 29, 1934, and moved to Fort St. John, BC in 1953. Iva was widowed in January of 1966 but continued to work and live in Fort St. John until she moved to Kamloops in 1997, to be close to her daughters and families.
Grama was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and told many stories of her times with her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ridgeview Lodge for their loving care during Grama's stay.
She requested There be no funeral, but there will be a Celebration of Her Life on Friday, November 30th at Ridgeview Lodge, 920 Desmond Street at 1:00 p.m.
