REMPLE: Donald Alexander John Remple, age 81 years of Swift Current, SK passed away November 3, 2012 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK. A Prayer Vigil service was held at Christ the Redeemer Church, at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 8, 2012, with Colleen Jensen officiating. The Memorial Mass was held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 9, 2012 from Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, Swift Current, SK, with Father Richard Jasiak officiating. The organist for the service was Terry (Remple) Coleridge and the pianist was Marlene Dolter. The Men's Church Choir, with family members provided music for the Mass. The eulogists were: Matthew Nagel, Doris Doll, Jessica Remple and Brandy (Remple) Westbury and the gift bearers were: Naomi Grimes and Tiffany Nagel. Donald is survived by his wife Ivy Irene Eleanor (Adrian) Remple; children: Terry Coleridge (Robert), Donna Remple (Mohamed Abdelhamid), Alex Remple (Jeannette), George Remple (Cindy) and James Remple (Maria); grandchildren: Kimberly Penner (Tyler) and children, Luke and Tristen,Tiffany Nagel (Jeremy Karpinsky), Matthew Nagel, Naomi Grimes (Konrad Waker), Mindy McGregor (Les) and children, Deliah and Kempton; Brandy Westbury (Tom) and children, Kyler, Alex and Dylan; Jessica Remple, Bradley Remple (Danielle Dyck), Gabriella Geraldoy-Remple, Jamie Geraldoy-Remple, Julia Geraldoy-Remple. Also surviving are special cousins: Gerald Young, Alex Guy, Norma Fischer (Bob), Anita Swanson, Gene Baycroft, Larraine Baycroft, Denise Edmunds, and Francis Volsky and numerous brother and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his parents: John D. Remple and Marjorie (Young) Remple; sister Kathleen Brewer, brothers-in-law: Dennis Adrian and Vern Adrian and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Donald was born at St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon, SK on August 18, 1931. He attended school at several towns as his father was a station agent with the C.P.R. He was united in marriage to Ivy Irene Eleanor Adrian on October 1, 1953 at Moose Jaw, SK. He trained as a stenographer (Morse Code) (C.P.R.), bookkeeping (C.P.R.), boiler operation and Bldg. Maintenance (Kelsey College), Postal operations and Refrigeration. He was employed by the Canadian Pacific Railway Station Agent 1949-1970, founder of Remple Janitorial Ltd. in partnership with Ivy 1969- February 2010 retirement, various local businesses, owned Webb Store, Webb, SK and operated Post Office and Professional Saxophone Player; Bounty Blue Birds 1949-1960, Instow Orchestra 1960-1977. Donald's orchestra performed up to Maple Creek (West), Cabri (North), Ernfold (East), U.S. Border to the south and all points in between. Because of the orchestra's popularity they were booked most week-ends. He loved his time with the family and was proud of their gifts and achievements. He always said "His life really started when he met the love of his life, Ivy". They were married for 59 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree, Webb Elk's Lodge, Alcoholics Anonymous and the Catholic Church Men's Choir. His special interests included: serious model railroader, camping/boating, Boy Scouts, amateur photographer/developer. Memorial donations to the Christ the Redeemer Catholic Parish Building Fund, would be appreciated by the family. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
