Born: March 30, 1918. It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of George Harmer Smith, Nov. 17, 2012 at the Caribou Memorial Veteran’s Pavillion in St. John’s. Leaving to mourn son Geoff and daughter-in-law Renée. We would like to thank the staff of the Veterans Pavillion for their care and compassion. In keeping with family tradition, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the War Amps of Canada.
