GOURLEY, JEAN - Jean E. Gourley, 85, of River Glade passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Kenneth E. Spencer Home, Moncton. Born in Salisbury she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Blakney) Campbell. She was a devoted wife, mother, nanny, homemaker, storekeeper and mother to all the village kids. Jean attended the former Saint Peter's Anglican Church in River Glade and the A.C.W. and was a past member of Branch 31, Royal Canadian Legion, Salisbury. Survived and sadly missed by her husband Ernest (Poeg); children Maryann Godsoe , Debbie Lewis (Allison), Gwen Godsoe (Brian), Elaine Hobson (Clive), Michael (Doreen); eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Survived also by sisters Grace Grills, Veta Westcott (Gene) and Joyce Prosser; brothers John Campbell (Kay) and Jerry Campbell (Diane). Predeceased by a daughter Patricia (Patty) Morton-Gourley; sisters Marguerite Alward , Geraldine Cormier, Evelyn Smith and Madeline Crandall and a brother Robert Campbell.
The Funeral will be held at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) Friday, November 23 at 3 pm with Rev. Chris Hayes. No visiting by request. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton at a later date. If desired memorials to the Diabetic Society or any charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
