It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of our beloved Garry on November 18, 2012. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and love, after a courageous and positively fought 2 year battle with cancer.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and soulmate Brenda, two daughters Shauna Woolliams and Carmen Dermott, grandchildren Zack and Kate Woolliams and Brad (Liz) Lewis. Also survived by his mother Isabel Dermott, brother Terry (Dianne), sisters Darlene (Barry) Gillrie and Joan (Lorn) Bryan, mother-in-law Marie Rutherford and many loving nephews and nieces.

Garry was predeceased by his father Cecil and first wife Donna.

Garry was a kind and gentle man who cherished the time spent with family and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed all sports and outdoor activities including camping, fishing and golf. After retirement, Garry and Brenda enjoyed their winters in the south and summers at the Shuswap in their motorhome. His legacy to all whose lives he touched will be one of integrity, love and friendship. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him and loved him.

There will be no service at Garry's request - a family memorial will be held next summer.

Should friends desire, donations to Brenda towards Garry's wish for a memorial walk on the Trans Canada Trail or charity of your choice gratefully accepted.
