TRENTON – Catherine Kellock, 70, Trenton, formerly of Plymouth, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, November 23, 2012 at home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Inverness, she was a daughter of the late Colin Andrew and Anne Christine (MacDonald) MacDonald.
She was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. Catherine retired from the former Maritime Tel & Tel after 33 years of service. She served on the Aliant (MT&T) Christmas committee and had been a member of the former St. Gregory’s CWL. She loved her family and her pets, Pugs, Duke and Brody.
Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Richard Kellock; sister Mary (Jimmy) MacDonald, Creignish; niece, Dianne (Greg) Campbell, Hatchet Lake; nephew, Colin MacDonald (Mary), Amherst; Brian (Lisa) MacDonald, Enfield; Wayne (Cindy) MacDonald, Judique; grandnieces and nephews; chosen family, Edgar and Joann MacDonald, Plymouth; Bob Christie, Pictou Landing; Barrie MacKay, Winnipeg.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton with Father Gary MacPherson presiding. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
Family flowers only. Donations may be made in Catherine’s memory to any charity of choice.
