PHILLIPS, MARION MARGAURITE (MERRITHEW) - January 27, 1927 - November 24, 2012 - Marion Margaurite (Merrithew) Phillips, wife of the late Keith Phillips of Pembroke, NB passed away November 24, 2012 at the Carleton Manor in Woodstock, NB where she had been a resident for the last seven years. Marion was born January 27, 1927 at Woodstock. She was 85 years old. She was the daughter of Harry and Sarah (Phillips) Merrithew of Woodstock, NB and Hartford, Conn. Marion was a lifelong resident of Pembroke, NB, a faithful member of the Pembroke United Baptist Church, the Pembroke Community Club, and the Pembroke Chapter of the NB Women’s Institute. She retired from service as a rural mail carrier for Canada Post after more than twenty years of service. She is sadly missed and mourned by her many friends and family. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Keith, and her parents Harry and Sarah Merrithew. She is survived by her brother, Phillip Merrithew (Elizabeth) of Newburg, NB, her children, Joan Phillips of Woodstock, NB; John Phillips (twin brother of Joan) of Ft. McMurray, AB; Gary Phillips (Donna) of Pembroke, NB; Stuart Phillips (Kelly) of Woodstock, NB; three granddaughters Amanda, Kayla and Sharon; two grandsons, Troy and Scottie; three great grandchildren, and one great great grand-daughter. Nieces and Nephews.
Resting at The Culberson Funeral Home, Woodstock, NB with visitation on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from the Pembroke United Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Pembroke Cemetery, Pembroke, NB. Donations made in memory of Marion can be made to the Pembroke United Baptist Church or the memorial of the donor’s choice.
