It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful mom, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt at the Glace Bay Hospital on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Kit is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Gerald; daughters, Margie MacDougall, Darlene (Jack) Gibson, Geraldine (Dea) Derbyshire; sons, Timmy (Sam) Derbyshire, Dennis (Nichol) Derbyshire; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Margaret Snow, brothers, Allen, Michael and great-grandson, Christopher Brown.
Cremation has taken place under the caring guidance of Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. A memorial service, to honour Catherine’s memory, will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the palliative care or breast cancer unit.
