John Joseph Tomiuck of Port Colborne, Ont., passed away with his family at his side on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, in his 63rd year. Loving husband of Donna (nee Aylward) for 25 years, dear father of Amy Tomiuck (Frank) and Austin Tomiuck both of Port Colborne, proud grandpa of Noah, brother of Sandy (Peter) Perry of Port Colborne. He will be sadly missed by the Aylward family in P.E.I. where he spent many summers on the lobster boat and visiting family. Sadly missed by his cousins and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Anne Tomiuck and his brother Fred Canter. John was born in Welland, Ont., and has lived in this area all of his life. He was in the travel business for 40 years and owned and operated Sidey’s Travel for 20 years. He was an active member of the Guild Group. John enjoyed driving his 1969 Dodge Coronet convertible. The Tomiuck family will receive visitors at the Davidson Funeral Home, 135 Clarence St., Port Colborne, on Friday, Nov. 23, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 24, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. Cremation will follow.
