Jean Delores MacNeil
Mrs. Jean Delores MacNeil, 78, Sydney, N.S., died peacefully at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, on Nov. 28, 2012.
Daughter of Hughie R. and Christina MacDonald, wife of the late James MacNeil (Jim Angus).
Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother (Nanny) and friend to so many. She was a pillar of strength, kindness and selfless love. A force of unity and a master link that kept many distant friends and relatives connected. She valued and fostered personal human connections. To know her was to love her.
She will be dearly missed by sons, Colin (Diana), Owen Sound, and Mark (Laurie), Sault St. Marie; grandchildren, Alexander, Mae, Alicia and Ryan James; brothers, Danny and Jack and sister, Sr. Peggy.
She was predeceased by brothers, Rannie, Charlie, Hughie and sisters, Sr.Marie, Norma and Beverly.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m, and again Sunday, Dec. 2 from 6-9 p.m. in St. Margaret’s Church, St. Margaret’s Village. Funeral mass to take place Monday, Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Church with Fr. Ajit officiating. Interment to follow in parish cemetery.
