It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Kennedy announce his passing on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, Mr. Joseph Kennedy of Bird Cove, NL, in his 68th year. He leaves to mourn with loving memories his brothers Simon (Ethel Hynes), and John (Georgina Mahar); sister Melena (Patrick Caines), all the residence of Bird Cove as well as his relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Simon and Catherine Pittman, brothers Michael, and John, and sister Alice (Austin Caines). Visitation was held at the Our lady of Grace Church in Bird Cove from where the funeral mass took place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 30 with Father Biju Anthony officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
