Passed on: December 5th, 2012
It is with broken hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Margaret Jurcina, on Dec. 5, 2012, at home.
Born in Sydney, Margaret was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (MacNeil) Hureau.
Margaret had worked over the years at London Life, St. Michael's and Sweeney Hinchey’s.
She enjoyed darts, bowling, skating, doing ceramics, cross stitching, Japanese embroidery, a good game of cards, and for 25 years she served as commissioner for the Girl Guides.
She is survived by husband, Stephen; son, Joseph (Ramona), Halifax; and daughter, Florence; sisters, Ann Robertson, Raylene (Charles) MacIntyre, Andre (John) Tobin, all in Sydney; grandchildren Madisyn, Carissa and Rachael, who were her pride and joy. She enjoyed the snuggle and shopping time spent with them.
Besides her parents, Margaret was also predeceased by her mother and father-in-law, Mary and Andrew Jurcina.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and funeral service for Margaret will take place Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the Parish of Saint Leonard with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, New Victoria, followed by a luncheon at the Carmel Centre, Mount Carmel Avenue and all are welcome.
