LeBLANC, Wilburn Dennis – 88, Villa St. Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton, formerly of Melbourne, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully with his family at his side on December 5, 2012. Born January 24, 1924 in Plymouth, he was a son of the late Armand and Josephine (Melanson) LeBlanc. He was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life, working with several different construction companies. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Edith (Gaudet); sons, Steve, Cape Breton; Donald (Rebecca), Tom (Anne), both of Melbourne; Peter, Dartmouth; Ted, Arcadia; David, Melbourne; Eric (Donna), Pleasant Lake; daughters, Cathy (Morton), Melbourne; Lucie (Glenn), Hebron; Helen (Larry) Brannen, Chegoggin. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Delbert; grandson, David McGonigle; brothers, Herman, Leo, Tim, Walter, Vernon; sisters, Marion, Ethel, Bertha and Lottie. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, with prayers at 8:00 p.m., both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held Saturday, December 8 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Melbourne, Father John MacPherson officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. A reception followed at the Melbourne hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or to a charity of choice.
