In loving memory and deep sadness, the family would like to announce the passing of Mary Cafferata at the age of 88 years. Mary was born in Colne, Lancashire, England. She was the daughter of Elizabeth (Crawshaw) and Sykes Ramsden. The family came to Canada in 1924 and settled in Hallonquist, SK. Mary married Clendon Blair in August 1947. They had 3 children: Craig, Beth and Marsha. Clendon passed away December 21st, 1956. Mary married Bert Cafferata in July 1961 and they moved to Moose Jaw, SK. Bert was with the RCAF. They had two sons, Shayne and Lincoln. Julie (Gopher) Paskemin joined the family shortly after at age 12. Bert passed away in 2006. Mary always put others first and was a caring, generous person. She had a strong belief in God and her faith was an encouragement to many over the years. Mary will be missed by many, especially her family: Craig (Verna) Blair, Beth (Don) Steele, Marsha (Dave) Rensberry, Shayne (Anneliese) Cafferata, Lincoln Cafferata and Julie (Wes) Paskemin; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. We would like to thank Extendicare Nursing Home for the care and support they gave Mary these last few years. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 10th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Brett Blair will officiate and interment will take place in Mount Pleasant Burial Park, Swift Current, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
