Martin, Jean M.(MacNeil), 82 of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow formerly of Coalburn passed away Dec. 8, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow, NS.
Born in Trenton she was a daughter of the late Angus and Genetta (Lucas) MacNeil.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years Bert, sons, Gregory, Allen (Debbie), Chris (Darlene), a daughter Ginette (Billy) Sutherland, sisters Anna MacMillan, Mae (Henry) Marcott, brothers Jim (Margie) MacNeil, Babs (Carol) MacNeil, Butch (Verna) MacNeil, chosen brother Johnny Ross. Grandchildren Traci, Amber, Brandi, Sandi, Melanie, Nicole, Christopher, Brody, Jill and Joshua, 10 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son Glenn Martin (Westray) and a brother Alex.
Cremation to take place with no visitation. A memorial mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow with Father Gary MacPherson presiding. Burial to take place in Castle Hill Cemetery, MacLellan’s Brook.
Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society.
