Passed peacefully away in the presence of her adoring family at her late residence in Bay Roberts on Saturday December 8, 2012, Mrs. Tana Amalie Simmons aged 58 years. Predeceased by parents Knut and Nina Fosnaes (nee Sinclair) and father-in-law Eugene Simmons. Leaving to Mourn with fond and loving memories are her Beloved Husband George Simmons; Devoted Daughters Elizabeth (Darren Jenner), Catherine Simmons; Special Granddaughter and the light of her life Claire Amalie; Brother Tor Fosnaes (Genieve Gallant); Mother-in-Law Phyllis Simmons; Brother and Sister-in-Law Gerry (Elaine) Simmons; Stepmother Glennis Fosnaes of Nottingham England U.K.; Niece Krista (Mike Pittman); Stepsister Deborah (Gus) Cossitt; Special Friend Sharon Penney (Graham) of Corner Brook; And a large circle of other family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitations at Moore’s Funeral Home, Bay Roberts Monday: 11 – 12 Noon: 2 – 5 PM: 7 –9 PM. Funeral Service to take place on Tuesday December 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Central United Church, Bay Roberts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Angel Fund. The family would like to thank the staff of The Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre of St. John’s and the staff of the 7th floor of Carbonear General Hospital. As well as Dr. Joy McCarthy, Dr. Brent Tompkins of the Cancer Centre and Dr. Dawn Howse of Carbonear General Hospital as well as Sherry Gosse and Joan Wilson for providing Tana with such great and loving care at home.
