Elizabeth Ann Yetman (nee Kent)

Passed peacefully on December 7th, 2012 in her 70th year. After a courageous fight with cancer, Betty went to God surrounded by her devoted children and those who she loved. Her strong will to live, unwavering love for her children, grandchildren and extended family and friends carried her through until the very end. Betty lived her life determined in all she did and that determination was evident upon her passing. Born in St.John’s, Betty is predeceased by her loving husband Peter, parents, Peter and Minnie Kent, brother Robert, sister Margaret McGraw and a number of brothers and sisters in-law; all now reunited with God. Among the many she is leaving to mourn with broken hearts are her daughters Wanda, Corina (David), Lori (Steve), sons Bill (John) Jim (Wanda), Pat (Rhonda) and loving grandchildren Olivia, Alex, Justin, Tyler, Graham, Georgia and Ireland. Nanny will forever be with you in your hearts. Also left to mourn are her sisters Patsy Kent and Nell Boles of Texas, Uncle Gerald Kent and Aunt Betty Westcott. She will be sadly missed by Theresa Mallard and a large number of nieces, nephews and many other extended family and friends. Resting at Cauls Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, and visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. -12 noon. Funeral mass will be held at St. Theresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Rd, on Monday December 10, 2012, at 1pm with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Special thanks to the many angels who took such good care of her during her illness; Dr. Jehan Siddiqui, Dr. Elizabeth Callahan, the special care givers at the Bliss Cancer Unit and the team on 4th North Health Science. Your devotion and care for Betty will be forever appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Elizabeth and Peter Yetman Scholarship Fund at the Nfld Nurses Association or to Daffodil Place, St. John’s are appreciated.
