It is with sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill, Bud) Henry Kirk of Moose Jaw on November 29, 2012. Bill was born in Vantage, Sask. on June 16, 1929. In 1949 Bill moved to Preston, ON, where he met his future wife, Kathleen Schweitzer, while they both were working at Savage Shoe. In 1961, Bill moved his family to the Kirk farm east of Vantage where he farmed and worked as a mechanic for the Assiniboia and Mossbank Co-ops as well as in his own Service Stations. In 1966 they moved to Mossbank where they resided until 2003 when they moved to Moose Jaw. Bill loved sports that involved a ball of any type including fastball, bowling and golf. His skill in these sports is evidenced by the huge number of trophies decorating his display case. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his family: wife of 62 years, Kathleen; sons: Dennis (Lynn) and their children Shannon and Bryce, Larry, Bill (Mary-Lou); daughters: Linda, Kathy (Trent) Langton and their children Jesse (Sara), Jeremiah (Tasha), Casey (TJ) and their daughter Lennox, Christopher (Whitney); son-in-law, Dale Marienhoff and daughter Jordan; grandsons Ryan and Colton Nordgulen. Sadly he was predeceased by his daughters Bonnie Nordgulen (2003) and Marilyn Marienhoff (2012), and his grandson, Brett Nordgulen (1991). A Memorial Tea will be held on Saturday December 15, 2012 at Timothy Eaton Gardens, 510 Main St. N., from 2 – 4 pm. Private family memorialization will take place at a later date. In memory of Bill a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, S7K 2H8. In living memory of Bill, a memorial planting will be made by W. J.
