At the Riverview Manor, the passing of Bertha May Nicholson, age 94, formerly of Belle River, wife of the late Ernest Nicholson, occurred on Tuesday, December 11, 2012.
Born in Mount Vernon, November 28, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Jessy Ann Bell. She is survived by her children, James (Ethel) Nicholson, Anna Stewart and Florence Nicholson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and nephew, Merrill Bell.
Besides her mother, Jessy, she was predeceased by an infant son, Charles Stewart; brother, Stewart Bell; and sister-in-law, Annie Mae Blue.
By request of the family there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will take place at a later date.
Memorials in Bertha's name to the Belle River Community Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
