BEZANSON, Goldburn Kent "Burnie" — 73, of Kentville, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Roy and Winnie (Fraser) Bezanson. Burnie owned and operated Burnie's Taxi for many years. Earlier in life he worked for Klean All Dry Cleaners Ltd., Windsor. Burnie is survived by his wife, Sheila (Merritt); sons, David, New Minas; Darrell, Kentville; sisters, Margaret Graves, New Minas; Doreen Bezanson, New Minas; brothers, Donald (Maxine), Kentville; Robert (Debbie), Kentville; Doug (Rose), Berwick; grandchildren, Jeremy, Cody, Brandon, Devon, Brienne; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Burnie was predeceased by sister, Laura Davidson; brothers, George, Gordon, Wayne and Wade. Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 568 Main St., Wolfville, and where funeral was 2 p.m. Thursday, December 13 with Rev. Dr. David Ogilvie officiating. Burial in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or The Canadian Cancer Society.
