SACHKOWSKI , Melvin Dennis June 1, 1934 – December 12, 2012.
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Melvin at the age of 78 years. Melvin was born June 1, 1934 on the farm at Foxford, SK. He attended Old Foxford and Chiefswood Schools. Melvin spent his life working as a heavy-duty mechanic, heavy-duty equipment operator and last of all a mixed farmer. He loved his animals especially his little dog, Mexie. After retirement in 2006, Melvin and Helene moved to Kamsack, which eventually they called home.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Helene (nee Lewis) of 51 years, two daughters; Lietta (Ted) Depeel of Kamsack and Dana (Leonard Larson) of Prince Albert, grandchildren; Juliesse and Colton Depeel, siblings; Marvin (Lesia) of Meath Park, Lillian (Marvin) Gibbs of Regina, Doris Scott of Texas, Marjorie (Lorne) Marshall of Prince Albert, and Dwight (Bonnie) of Prince Albert; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Melvin is predeceased by his parents; John and Ann Sachkowski.
