LOCKE, DEREK W. - 1970 - 2012 - Calgary, AB - Mr. Derek Warren Locke, husband of Linda Godfrey, of Medicine Hat, AB, and formerly of the North Napan Road, Napan, N.B., and son of John and Lorraine Locke, of Douglasfield, Miramichi, N.B., passed away following a sudden illness, at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary Ab., on December 15, 2012, one day short of his 42nd birthday. Born in Fredericton, N.B., on December 16, 1970, he was the son of John and Lorraine (Hood) Locke. At the time of his death he was employed as a wielding inspector with Hydraco Industries, in Medicine Hat, AB. He was an adherent of Carmel United Church, Napan, N.B. He is survived by his wife, Linda Godfrey; two sons, Xander Liam Locke and Drew Christopher Locke, both at home; his parents, John and Lorraine (Hood) Locke, of Douglasfield, Miramichi; his mother in law, Helen Godfrey, of Napan; his father in law, Everett Godfrey, of Dieppe; his maternal grandmother, Marlene (McKay) Hood, of Nashwaak Bridge, N.B.; his paternal grandmother, Marshell J. (Reppart) Locke, of Grand Manan, N.B.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Friday, December 28th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Carmel United Church, on Saturday, December 29th, 2012, at 2 pm, conducted by Penny Postlethwaite. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors’ choice, would be appreciated by the family.
