It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Reta Turner of Kamloops, BC, on December 20th, at 92 years of age.
Reta is survived by her daughters Melva (Duncan) Blake of Edmonton, AB, and Janice (Gary) Johnston of Clearwater, BC, her grandchildren Cathy, Joyce (Doug) Ranson, Kim Sunderman, Jody Johnston, James (Heather) Blake, Ken (Tina) Blake and Gerald (Carrie) Johnston as well as 16 great grandchildren. Reta is also survived by her sisters Eleanor Clark, Verda Jackson and Dolly (Ken) Crowe, and Lucille Turner, Jean Turner and Don Stoughton.
Reta is predeceased by her husband Jim Turner, brother Robert Hayward and parents Walter and Edith Hayward.
Jim and Reta married in 1940 and moved to Alberta in 1952. They travelled extensively around Alberta and BC with the construction industry and in later years, kept Kamloops as their home base.
