Dad was born on Jan. 27,1933 in a little farmhouse in the Success district of Saskatchewan. He was the youngest in a family of six, leaving home at the age of 14 to come out west. He spent most of his working life as a carpenter, helping to construct many of the landmark buildings in Kamloops today. Dad loved to grow roses and his vegetable garden, lying on his swing in the sunshine and falling asleep with the newspaper. He was a fabulous cook, always outdoing himself with the Christmas turkey. We have many fond memories of family day trips and camping adventures that we will always hold close in our hearts. We love and miss you Dad.
We wish to extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude for the kindness, and loving care from, Dr. Burris, the nurses of 7N, Dr. Rollheiser and the amazingly compassionate women of Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home. We are forever grateful.
A small Funeral Service will be held at Schoenings Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour at 11:00 am Dec. 28, 2012. Should family or friends desire, donations can be made to Kamloops Hospice or RIH Foundation.
